You Addiction, My Pain

These things aren’t yours –
They’re mine!
I earned them:
Sweating,
Aching,
Laboured long hours
For the precious, shining gold!
Yet here you are,
Ugly little parasite
Taking what is not rightfully yours.
To feed the hunger you began
Within your suffering, tortured shell!
Taking what is not honourably yours,
What is ours!
His!
And mine!
My precious baby boy
Screaming!
Crying!
Hurting!
Because you’re too
Weak!
Scared!
Selfish!
To care.
Your addiction,
My pain.
I understand –
I have crutches too.
We all do.
But one day
You’ll suck me dry
And only you will suffer.
You’ll yearn for that needle
And its deadly, addictive sting…
Your addiction,
My pain.

This was amazing. I liked the flow and the emotions that seem to like come out and bite you when you read this. Great poem.
Take care
