Cherrycoke's Latest

Topic: ApologyPoetry

How did this happen
When did we change
Life was fantastic
But now it's all rearranged
Somehow I messed up
I'll fully admit
But I was distracted
And now can't make sense of it

-(Bridge to Chorus)-

I can't stand this helpless feeling
That I cannot make a difference
I have fell upon my knees before-
You pleading for forgiveness

But you turn away to hide your tears
When really it's your weakness
To face the One who sees your fears
And admit you need forgiveness

-(Chorus)-

I don't wear my broken heart on my sleeve
Simply to amuse you

Please forgive me
I forgave you
Christ forgave me
Just as He's forgiven you too

-(End Chorus)-

I've changed my ways
But you've turned away
I've buried my pride
But yours is still thriving
And I'm standing alone
With my arms left wide open

-(Repeat Chorus)-

Though I've felt numb
I still have feelings
And though it hurts
I'm still healing
