My Visa to Afghanistan

My Visa to Afghanistan.

My city of justice tags me just because I have a beard
Our city of justice stares at us when we walk its streets
Your city of justice has made me a felon just because I go to my mosque five times a day.

My city of justice makes me feel like the prisoner from hell
He who gets stalked but no one catches him
Our city of justice has kept my nerves on edge an alien in my own planet
Your city of justice has hated me till I have started to doubt my own innocence

My city of justice now bites me
The footpath feels like a track of burning coal barbecued Muslim
The air feels like burning flesh a bit like mutton or is it my feet?
The trees wither at my glance as to say go away or is it I am sorry?
The children across the road now just freeze at my sight that thought intrigues my sleep at night.

All because in my passport it says ENTRY AFGHANISTAN – 2 DAYS VISA.

This is why whenever I fly I carry a half eaten Ham sandwich and a opened bottle of beer. Clearly this will get worse before it gets better.

Well Done

Peace
Yang
