Nightmares Are The Best Dreams Of All

Contributed by angel-1 on Monday, 5th March 2007 @ 06:48:32 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Dreams so real, they can hardly be dreams,
An existence so fake, it can hardly be called living.
So many people fill the room,
Yet you still feel completely alone.

The times I’ve tried to leave this world,
Cannot account for the pain caused.
This time it will be different…
Maybe not.

Dreams about death, pain and suffering.
Knives, guns, tightly bout rope.
Breaking in without warning.
Screaming people running for their pitiful lives

Crying women run instinctively
Men try to get away
But nothing can save them
From justice

No one truly deserves it
I know I didn’t.
Now they will feel everything I did
In one loud bang.

Singling out certain people
Who had this coming.
In the corner, cowering
This time, I hold the power.

The power not only to chose who
But when and why.
No turning back now.
Its as if I can do anything, with no consequences

Well, nearly none.
One big one but I don’t really care,
Life? Huh.
I’ve been dead for years now

They would be helping me.
Doing something I never had the courage to do.
Something I was to weak to do.
But now I have someone to do it for me

The plan is never to get out… Alive.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
