Reality vs. Dreamland

Contributed by justagirl82 on Sunday, 4th March 2007 @ 01:46:03 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Lies creep over my skin like leeches
My mind is a blur with the unknown

When did reality leave me?
Was there a specific time?
Was it the time I thought I saw him standing here,
when he was really never there?
Or was it the time I saw her pale, blue face on a metal slate?

I can hardly distinguish reality from dreams
What’s wrong with me?

Maybe my fake world is easier than the real one
Or maybe I can’t fight anymore
Maybe I’ve given up and it’s my turn to sleep

Sleep to get away from it all
To get away from his harsh words
And her not being there anymore

Maybe there’s something better
Maybe that something is the somewhere where she is
Or
Maybe since life gave up on me I should give up on it

I’m caught between two worlds and don’t know which one is which…

Reality can make us wish we were just dreaming and could wake up...so I can relate very well to this lovely piece of sharing. Thank you
