The life of a vampire

Contributed by LadyDama on Monday, 24th February 2003 @ 07:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

As the figure scales the wall
It's mind races through time
The creature breathes in the night
Tasting blood and flesh
On it's crimson lips
It's pale white face
Gleams and glistens in the blackness
From behind dark shadows
Comes it's unrelenting supernatural voice
Unhuman, yet oddly irresistible
Until along comes an unknowing being
And
Upon seeing the lovely creature
(Draped in black
With crystal fingertips)
Moves forward in wonder and amazement
Regretting the event as soon as it came to pass
The thing pounces on the sinful one
With a vicious nature
Baring stone white fangs
Coming close to the fleshy nape
Then instantly ripping the thin wrapping of the all sacred throat
With a violent jerk
The swift soar of Life flowing into the things veins
The human's heart beating faster and faster still
And then slowly, almost to a stop
Whereupon the creature pulls away
Blood dripping like fuchsia paint from it's perfectly sculptured chin
It smiles as it watches the sinful one die
Savoring the very moment of Death
And
Wiping the blood away
The creature slinks off to it's coveted refuge
For the sun is rising
And the thing must rest until
Mother Nighttime comes once more.
