Complacent dreams sufficate the horizions of twilight
Where screams are born to fostering sadness
Walking lost in the womb of reality
In darkness where light is fear.
Lions roar from muted mouths
In voids lost to human ears
Biting the malevolent sun
While reaching for the scornful moon.
Echos from ancient voices
Tear open the wounds of tawdry souls
Whose dreaming minds are fire filled
Begging for an end of pain.
Shadows caress the waking dawn
Stifling the weakened screams
Lying in their bed if night
Where all is silent black.

Well put. The inside of addiction is indeed a dark and silent place. One does not see it unless they cross to the other side and stare it in the face from outside. Thank you |
