Webs of Fear

Contributed by needledancing on Saturday, 3rd March 2007 @ 08:26:56 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Little spiders scare me most, I can not see them coming.
Like talented minstrels their webs scream with the strumming.
A tune that should alarm us, yet heard by not an ear,
Until that horrid spider is intimately near.

By your foot or near your head they invade your space,
Lord forbid they have the nerve to land upon your face.
A scream, a slap, jump up , run away,
I hope that web spinning creature can’t find me here today.

I hate to have to swat or stomp all efforts to invade.
The spider proof world about me I have finally made.
I’d rather run and scream and hope that if he’s near,
He’ll finally hear my battle cry of arachnophobia fear.

I truly Appreciate and Marvel at your imaginative ability.
I am slowly but surly getting sucked into being your fan I suppose.

great...

FRANCO.

I can hear a child's giggle upon reading this aloud as the tongue travels over the hills and valleys of this piece. Strange still is how the redundancy of the last line replayed in my head as the 'fear of being afraid of spiders,' works in parallel.

Well Done

Peace
Yang

ND .. so weird that I am reading this today. I was just having
a conversation with someone the other day about how I
find spiders both creepy and fascinating! I think staring
at them, (from a safe distance lol) is a very pleasurable
way to spend time. And their webs are the most beautifully
glorious and magical pieces of mystery in the garden.

Wonderful piece .. made me chuckle in a couple spots .. lol
