Life is not fair
But what can we do
There are a few good men here
And a few bad men too
But One man was none
So is what he said
‘All men were equal
After they were dead’
One day he was inspired
Watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon
He thought he could built it
A machine that would be a boon
An Escalator to Heaven
Was what he built
It could send any man to heaven
No matter how high was his guilt
Everything worked out fine
And he even became rich
However, nothing is perfect
This one also had a glitch
On that moving staircase
A thousand men were sent
And all of them fell from the sky
To heaven, none of them ever went
You can’t pay your way to heaven
You gotta live and love for it
You gotta help your fellow beings
And you gotta do you bit
And when you die
God weighs your good part
From that he decides
How will be your new start

As your poem suggests no money or machinery can get us to heaven. This may be a surprise for some based on lifestyle...not the I would judge...I enjoyed the poem. It will give some things to think about.thank you |

"and it makes me wonder"
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings' and clearly no technology can substitute what only the soul can traverse.
Well Done
