=========================
So onward went our heros
gladly now accepting fate
out of war , out of peril ,
out of hardship they are made
Thus they seek unknown land
where treasure lay beneath the depths
Lo it does now call to them
though many dangers still are left
and yet they walk through hills and darkness ;
through the vales of swirling mist
A cottage found in land of goblin
lures them in with hopes of rest
and through the window light is dancing
An opened door reveals their fate
There within is a necromancer
Soon a secret deal is made
Now , he says , there is a tunnel
hidden in the deepest woods
Spiral stairs of ancient stone
will take you to the underworld
There be trolls , hordes of goblin
and many dangers yet untold
brave them and you'll find the dragon
It is he who owns my soul
He's older than the earth that binds him
and his strength is not a myth
Slay him , then return to me
and I will surely grant your wish
So our heros seek a treasure
not of gold or precious gem
but something that is even greater
The resurrection of a friend...

Flawless as always. A heart warming read to take the chill off of the sudden desert chill this night. Flow, detail, content and meter incredible as well.

I liked this one. It reminds me of my games of D&D. That sounds just like what our characters would be doing. Now I'm curious to see what happens with the dragon. |
