Tall tales wash away
The short stories never stick
I've searched for the truth
But all I found was this.
My mind has gone
My heart disappeared
I'm looking with my eyes
And found it with my ears
All I was, had never been
Every step forward
Can't be seen.
The only footprints left behind
Have been washed by the sea
The only trace of my life
Is six feet deep.

A tight piece well done and in my opinion an expression that lends to the reason why we should get the most out of every minute of this life. Keep writing and posting.
Bravo
Peace
