one thousand ninety three days

I wear this thing
A symbol of a long dead dream
I polish it from time to time
In little ways you can say it keeps my mind
But
But I
I do not wish for a long last kiss
Nor do I entertain with what I once missed
I do not ask for your ear to hear
Or for the fantasy to reappear
I've been in this shape for a thousand days
With little light thru the haze
I've been sitting at the bottem of the tree
Yet the apple has failed to seed
