Wil You?

Contributed by Josipheonix on Wednesday, 28th February 2007 @ 12:50:49 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Will You

I can hear my beat inside my head
Louder. Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop
Pounding my chest so very hard
I'm being chased by a feeling of lost

What makes my heart beat so hard?
I know all these things so over-rated
How all this for not
I know all these shiney things long since faded

I worry,
For you, for me, for our tomorrow
Does it make you shutter through the afternoon?
Make shut off, but oh wait, I can't
And oh yeah, neither can you

Will you stand by me just because I want you to?
Maybe I don't want to know the answer
Could now be the moment I realize the truth is me?
Because the truth is, nothing lasts forever

Will you back me when I don't know the outcome?
How it will turn out, good or bad?
Me, just sitting there, my face dirty
Left with the shadows of what I had?

Will you hold my hand when i'm scared to cross the street?
Will you help me find that place i'm stuck in between?
Will you help me find the ground when I can't with my feet?
Will you hold my hair back when I scream?

this poem speaks of fears within us all...what if..We have to eventually let go and take that chance...what makes us wait so long to do that...good reminder of that in your words. Well done
