Where Are My Flawed Heroes?

Fate takes a twist into this spinning catalyst
Of what’s deserved and what’s dismissed
When the world wrongs and sinner’s songs are
Rehearsed and dispersed bitterly along
And for some reason we just stay in melody
Deny what we see and cross out the negative
For something promised free
But where are my flawed heroes?
The ones who I admire
So blinded by the smokes
To notice they’re walking on a fire?
What it means to look up is two different things
Through sufferings of souls spent mustering
An ounce of respect on a pivotal concept
Of wandering through life on a tight rope lacking
The net
And I see those vodka bottles dusting like trophies
That’s fine for a gold that weaker men aspire
But you know what’s true
That’s not you
No, no, no that’s not you
No, I see the shine of your devilish grin
The happiness within, and the places we’ve been
And please keep those eyes glimmering
I’ve been discovering they’re what’s keeping me coming back
Again
If you need a boost, I’d choose to look at your face
Because I know it well, it’s a warm place
And if you grace me with that, I’ll be glad to add
No plants worth a life I’ve admired to trace
No drug is too powerful, no obstacle too sound
To let the person I know stop kicking around
Sure it’s been clowned, nothings funnier still
Then to fill all the love we’ve been willing to spill
And nothing is free, nothing’s easy, you don’t have to take it from me
But I’d not know where to go, without you beside me to grow
My flawed hero
The one I admire
So blinded by the smokes
To notice you’re walking on a fire

This is astoundingly beautiful...thank you from all the women who have suffered due to simply loving another human....your piece touched my heart deeply. |

This has the feel of a rockin' country song belted out with a 12 string and twang with crowds of people dancing and lots of hat wearing girls mouthing the words. Great rhythm and heart.
Well Done
Peace
