What once was,
Shall never be again...
For I was your lover,
But not a true friend...

As I saw the peices fall,
From what could have been,
It destoyed my heart...

Looking at the wreckage I've created,
It has never been clearer,
That I must part...

As life shall continue,
I will never forget...
For what should have been,
Is my biggest regret...

A life as it shatters,
A heart as it breaks...
The cause of the same,
Irreversable mistakes...

I could have used this many times in my life to apologize for not being able to love another the way they wished I had. This is a heartfilled piece many could make use of. Thank you
