|
Life, so starlit and bright, yet dark and hidden.
Walking down a busy street, empty,
all that's heard, my footsteps.
Quarter moon rising, golden,
brightens a dark city sky,
raining yet still visible
under the city lit clouds.
One single car passes by, locked in a stare;
a five second moment with pure emotion,
no thoughts.
Quarter moon hiding behind city lit clouds,
two miles left.
Rushing water between my toes
keeps me warm.
Home, rushing through my mind as fast as it seems I'm walking.
The rain stops, silent but for my soggy footsteps.
I stop, the city lights the clouds in the distance.
I look up to see, hope; a cloudless patch above,
quarter moon and two stars light the way.
Home.

Home . . . this is great i felt as i walking along slow then fast then just meandering. very vivid indeed .. . i may be an true artist but your a true poet. nice work. thanks for the trip.
