Once, I believed fairness was compromise~
only to since find myself mistaken
For not always between two apart lies~
a place at peace with the one forsaken...
Once, I had thought to right things that were wrong~
until black & white they refused to stay
Like the beauty of both, twilight & dawn~
what was true, graduated through hues of grey...

The truth you've found shines through this and the imagery you give to your philosophy is just outstanding. I found myself nodding in agreement at the last stanza because the truth is never black or white, it always lies somewhere inbetween, in those lovely graduations of colour you describe so eloquently.

oh my goodness .. yes! The blending of grey, is,
at least to this poet, always a GOOD thing. Rarely,
I think, are things black and white. Yes, it makes
life a tad more trying .. but I find so much more
beauty in the subtlties of grey, than in the stark
constrasts of black and white.
That last line is powerful, hun. And exceptionally
meaningful to a knowing heart ~

*Clapping* Now, damn sis, that was a hell of a write. Sounds like the lines I deal with so much....everything gray. I can't find a black or white.....but maybe that's not so bad, huh? Take care and as always, your writes seem to mirror myself.
