Bump in the Night

Contributed by Loriann on Sunday, 25th February 2007 @ 09:58:54 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

The bump in the night
gave my boys such a fright.

Tucked away so snug in their beds.
Til they heard the loud bump and covered their heads.

They trembled in fear.
Each one sheadding a tiny tear.

Mommy they screamed please come here.
The boogey man comes we both did hear.

Nothing to worry no need to freat.
It think its the storm youll see I bet.

Now lay down your heads.
Get snug in your beds.
I told them I loved them. Kissed them goodnight .
now get some sleep boys as I turned off the light.

Oh Loriann, How sweet love is as those boys just wanted some comforting love from Mommy and what little boy would not want one last kiss or hug from their Mother before they doze off to sleep. You have a beautiful way of writing that really reaches out to me. Wonderful Poem.
