Lost on the Road

The compass needle spins and spins,
And has done for some time,
I'm left to try and find my way home.
The path splits - a choice needs making,
I've nothing to guide me,
Not even a star.
In the end, does it matter?
Left or right, I'm sure to get there eventually.
Well...probably.
