Reality Floats

The midnight shadows play tricks on my tired mind,
While the worlds reality lags one day behind,
Others may be drowning in a sea of hope,
But I rise above in my tattered boat,
The world's dark waters cloud the murky depths below,
While I hunt adversity with this broken bow,
If I fall over this lifejacket will keep me from drowning,
While my heart continues its rhythmic pounding,
As frantically search for ways to sink this boat,
My life's reality keeps my body afloat

A good imaginative poem with a pinch of adventure and thrill to it. I truly enjoyed reading.
