Somewhere
in my desolation
you were watching me,
a
painting
of discolration
wilting by the sea.
A
drifter
going nowhere
like a verse without
a rhyme,
a faceless clock that couldn't
smile let alone keep time.
yet
you were
with me all along
so beautiful to see,
my angel in the mist
who took away my
misery.
As
slowly
as a sunrise
as sure as time and tide,
i saw my life within your eyes
and you were by my
side.
Yes
that angel
in the mist who
shared with me her
charms, because of
her sweet kiss is
now the angel
in my
arms.

It strikes me as curious that your well-defined rhythm which is largely trochaic hexameter with a spondee in one place or another (look 'em up, it's fun to say the words like you know what they mean--I would know), but your stanzas are big fat diamonds that stretch out them out into kite-like formation. Do tell---ending on a poignant word is understandable, but breaking lines unevenly and such should have some author's intent fueling it. I'm curious.
