From Winter’s boughs bereft of any leaves,
Now reach out sugared posies on the trees.
Waxen discs in rose and purest white
Cluster round and turn their heads towards the light.
Cherubic petals waft down in wind-borne tides,
Flowered confetti for a Springtime bride.
