I wasn't gone so long
For everything to become so wrong
What happened to the past?
It went by so fast
Old friends and new
Pass by so fast, to few
Remain to share our now
I just want to know how
How did we split?
Was it really worth it?
The pain that's caused by goodbyes,
The tears left in our eyes.
The past is the past
And it can never last
But I keep trying to hold on,
Never realizing that it's gone.
I can't leave old friends behind
I'm losing my peace of mind
Missing the past for what it was
And hanging around, just because
