How The Tables Have Turned

Contributed by ellimac on Monday, 19th February 2007 @ 01:08:33 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

A kiss is still a kiss
But they don’t feel the same
‘cause they taste like someone been there before
And I’m getting tired of playing this game.

‘cause one day you love me
The next I’m less than dirt.
And right now I’m ***** tired,
Tired of being hurt.

Because love is made for two
But with us its three and four
And though I still long for you
My heart can take no more.

What happen to the nights,
When you looked into my eyes
Squeezed my hand so gently
And then told me lies.

But now the lies are coming from my mouth,
When we whisper “I love you, goodnight.”
Because my heart doesn’t beat for you anymore,
And for your love, I’m not willing to fight.

I remember the words ever too clearly,
And how you whispered ,
How I could have swore it was real
‘cause you were the only one,
The only one I could feel.

The one who held my heart,
So loosely in her hand
And now its slipping
Like tiny grains of sand.

Watch every one of them,
Hit the ground
It’s my heart breaking
Shattering without making a sound.

Because I don’t feel anymore,
At least not for you
I wish I could show you this,
Because now,
I feel like its me that’s playing you.
