selfstruggles

Time is meaningless
it has no hold, no bearing,
but these thoughts
that ache and penetrate
yet will not abate,
have brought me to my knees,
they have blackened my heart.
Is it time now to depart?
This world so cruel
and cold as ice,
which has my lungs in a vice.
No air permitted in or out
cannot whisper, cannot shout.
The desperation a permanent
fixture of my soul.
These dark words
pondered back and forth.
Time to give up?
Time to give in?
Lonely journey traveled far
with many a splinter
but more a scar.
Quit this tiring fight?
Close my eyes and say goodnight?
Or take a harder path
weather the pain
and the aftermath.
Life is far too short,
far too precious to abort.
An epiphany has struck
a peace, a calm
no more a storm.
Liberation from desperation,
can breathe again
can cry again
can feel again.
Future still remains unseen
but steps can be taken
to secure it,
can no longer ignore it.
By this new truth abide,
and from this life
no longer hide.

I had this Epiphany just the other day when astronomers announced we are in the path of a comet that may hit earth in 2036. This is a biggie and can easily takes us back to prehistoric conditions. I may be time to put down our indulgences and take care to insure our survival:
...By this new truth abide,
and from this life
no longer hide. "
Well Done
Peace
