Our Friends

" Our Friends "

Who are they?
What are they?
Where are they?
They are more valuable
than any treasure
What they give
you could never measure
Could they be a shadow?
Or could they be a reflection?
Possibly a view
of our own Emotions!
That’s what they are!
Molding themselves for us
When I smile
I receive a smile
When I am in tears
I see their tears
Through thick and thin
they are there for me!
Without any expectations
without making me disappointed
They are God’s gift
they are the angels on earth!
Beyond words is their description
beyond gems is their worth!
They are here to make sure
Life gets better each day!
We never know
What tomorrow holds!
With them I am sure
it will be a great day!
Who are they?
What are they?
Where are they?
We all have them!
They are Our Friends of course!!!!!

A very different tale told to a kid in Brooklyn it went something like they are 'a dime a dozen'
Now why would someone tell that to a kid who doesn't even understand what it is to get hurt yet.

Thank You for this post and effacing the bitter sentiment of a cynic.

Well Done

Peace
Yang
