I carry my blues behind my eyes
Jaded and broken
Struggling to survive
My feathers are gone
I'll never fly
I'll just stand here numb
Trying my best not to cry
I'm waiting for something else
Cuz I've already lost myself
My days are descending
The pain is never ending
I tried to believe all the lies
I tried to still see with blackened eyes
I truly believed in you
But you never came through
So I finally came to a resting place
Here in this cold empty space
The future is wasted
I can no longer see the light from the sun
I can't even see where to run
I thought you were learning
But now the bridges are burning
Its so wrong
Everything is gone
I'm so sick of the cruelty love produces
And the pain it induces
I try not to get bitter
I don't wanna turn cruel,
I don't wanna end up dying before I have to
I could whine, I could moan
Say I just wanna be left alone
But that's not really true
Because all I ever wanted...
Was a moment with you.

It is a sad and a touching poem. the pain and agony reflects very cleverly between the lines; yet in between all the pain and betrayal the love blooms in those last two line, perfect.

We are all in control of our own destiny .....
You say here you dont want to get bitter or cruel ...... Thats because YOU are far better a person than that .....
You say " all I ever wanted was a moment with you" Well you had that .... now spend a lifetime with someone that actually deserves your inner beauty

Bleedthelove, Once again you provide your readers with a master piece of heartfelt poetry, I read the poem and when I got to the last two lines and read them it was like reading a book as it speaks of such a strong desire of longing for the special someone you truly adore and love. Great job my friend.
