THE DAY THAT I MET YOU!

What is the greatest thing
That ever happened in my life?
Well, it’s not the time when training
Helped a dying man to revive.
It’s not the time a home run
Made me champion for a year.
Or when college scholarships
Sent me toward some paths unclear.
Or when in public speaking,
I won third place in all the land.
Or when I was only fifteen years old,
I was national champ in
A tournament that I bowled.
Was it President of a High School class?
Or being chased by a couple dozen lass?
Was it getting orders to go to war,
When my homebound family needed me more?
Was it serving my country in a far away place?
Or doing my job with distinction and grace?
Was it gaining the respect
Of my neighbors and my peers?
Or winning an election
After struggling for a year?
All these things I assure you I did do.
But the one I treasure most,
Is The Day That I Met You!
