Ice-cold In Algarve
I have sought refuge in my alones
many broken romances have holed
my heart and made it cynical. Sit on
a barstool stolen years ago in a long
night of perniciousness and survey
the bareness of my room. I’m a king
of small beer salute no flag have no
subjects other than a black cat that has
moved in for the duration. I’m safe, but
sit near the fire loneliness is cold.

someone once said,"never look for what the poem means, but then how the poet means it".You seem to put words in places where they shouldn't be,thus making a promising poem nonsense. |
