Hallmark cards can't say it all.

Contributed by Faust on Thursday, 15th February 2007 @ 02:05:38 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

A feeling of romance's cost
once verything has been lost.
This love of ours is getting older
though it will not get much bolder.
I dreamt that I could smell the flowers
left for you by a heart that cowers.
Pacing around in my room
wishing I could just see you
standing here right next to me
so I could finally sleep peace.
I sweat though I've never been colder
Oh how I wish I could hold or
simply sit and hear your voice
but letters seem of our choice.
These halmark cards can't say it all
as we sit and watch the stars fall.
Bewitched as the fireflies incircle our hearts
showing glimpses of you in the dark.
A flash of light and I can see you
gazing into my deep eyes too.
our hearts were beating loud as wever
in unity, they can't dissever.
They hold our love as we hold eachother
underneath this dark black cover.
