Begin the Wizard

Begin the Wizard

Magik is true but to unwritten rule
By masters are the secrets ever shewn
So follow not the folly of the fool
For fools would read the folly writ in rune
And never know that falsly were they hewn
Know Magik is a journey mind to mind
Once written it is freed for fool to find

Symbols carved in stone are but a guide
They mark the path which lead but to the door
By spirit must ye then be let inside
And symbol lock'd outside for ever more
That spoken spell become the lore of yor'
Let he who live by trick become the trick'd
But from enlighten'd mind be Magi pick'd

Tho' legion lie to claim a righteous throne
And even blacken'd heart can steal some pow'r
Source supreme of sourc'ry shall be shown
Before the pure shall weak'nd will then cow'r
Right thru' light must shine the final hour
To endings must beginnings their grace lend
Come then, begin with me, the journeys end

The pace and chunk of this work hits my ear like Old English as well. Upon reading I can feel the spirits coalesce and the grand wizard Merlin come to life stepping from the void as needed.

Please keep posting. I love the subject material and that you declare the form and style of your post.

Well Done

Peace
Yang

What a round about way to flow the words......Compares with Chaucer, is a good analogy. Loved the wording for the whole. Yes, keep posting
