Grief

i sit here now with this blanket of dark
and the light that passes under the door
in a moments time i am sobbing mess
as i fall so hard to the floor
and only for an instant i can see the light shift
as you silently pass by
not knowing what is happening
as behind this door i hide
and with each tear i am growing up
preparing to face the world
gaining every last ounce of strength
from the music in this room
this radio is screaming so loud
the voice of tom delonge
the words hit home and sting a little
but somehow help me along
and as the tears begin to dry
i know it's time to start
but never ever will i forget you
and you blessed heart

Good thoughts of the isolation and dispair you shared. |
