Just killing thoughts with witty remarks

Contributed by lostrelic on Tuesday, 13th February 2007 @ 05:24:53 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

roaming with a shadowed mind down lonely desolate runways
just killing thoughts with witty remarks hoping to fly away
trying to shake the jester who laughs in my ear
his insistent prattle to inane to just close the door
my memory banks full of regretful materiel
more then enough to fill his jar of comedy

falling back to deep banks this time seep and sand
remembering cold oceans and endless views
a wildness that slaps that laughing mess
and wakes me out of that grit and sense
watered eyes and empty heart i rear myself up
a new day calls and my time in regret is shallow
thank you world for the sense of adventure
the only thing that’s free to us all

Jab them little thoughts with steely knives if thats how your wit arrives. Cheers to your 'sense of adventure'.
