Each time I read your poetry your words are full of pain
I so want to guide you on your way, there's so much MORE from life to gain
You sound as if you're a prisoner, to this addiciton of self harm
As you slowly sit and destroy yourself, silently in the calm
I want so much for you to see, the lights the happiness
The joy you could feel and experience to rid you of this mess
You compose your words of pain to us, which really is a CRY
But its YOU not US that holds the key, to answer your question WHY?
Only YOU can change yourself ,when you finally take control
By taking over this illness killing you,.... ripping at your soul
Words so easy for me to say.....Im sure thats what you think
When you feel so desperate inside.... edging on that brink
If you had a choice to be here, and be happy heart and soul
Would you choose that route to take then ? be removed from within that hole?
You see I feel you do,.... have a choice I mean
but only YOU can do this, and then the light be seen
A hundred or more people here, experience the pain you feel
Yet all would happily offer help, to mend your soul and heal
All we can do is give advice, and show you that we care
It's down to YOU to reach out to US... to aid your journey there
I feel so sad each time I read, the words from in your heart
I wonder what brought you to this point .what happened at the start
I wonder would you share with us in words you could compose?
Explain what brought you to this point to take the roads you chose?
It IS a crime to self harm you know, you are a beautiful person inside
Next time you feel this darkness, come take control, don't hide
Write your feelings on paper, pen your way thru the pain
What have you to lose then? I see only that you'd gain
Instead of tearing at that skin, until the colour red
Tear words from deep within,on paper here instead
Put your feelings into your precious words for us all to see
And slowly feel the freedom as it catches up with thee
I write these words for you 'specially and hope you understand
You aren't alone when you are here, just reach out for a hand
I feel I want to hug you, make your pain just go away.....
But I know deep down the time will come and one day you will say .......
" I DID IT " .... Now I am free to live happily again ...

Malcolmsdreamgirl, what a beautiful poem of dedication for a dear friend as I hope they read and feel the love and the support that is available to assist them to make it through rough times. Your words are packed full of caring sincere love for them and all I can say is Outstanding poem.
