Sweet valentine

Valentines,
the day shines,
the sun breaks entry to a blue sky,
roses, cards, emotional high!

Cherish this day,
when they come out of their shell,
listen to the words they say,
hear their thoughts which upon they wishingly dwell.

Smell the sweet parfume,
watch all the smiles bloom,
taste the bittersweet morning dew,
the day only comes once a year
and then it's through!

Wait in the corner
as people and time pass you by,
see people spending their last quarter,
smile at their happy cries!

Appreciate the glee,
to hear the mirthful laughter on a spree,
be glad there's a smile on someone's face,
glad is one, who can watch others smile
and see true love in all its grace.

But, alas,
a red valentine under the stars;
wishing to sit upon the bench of stone,
sighingly I realise:
I'll be spending my valentines alone.

this is a very expressive well written piece.. I love the flow.. it starts out really happy and then ends so sadly.. spend it with some friends and do something nice for a friend.. that will definately lift your spirits..
