A Dark Valentine

Contributed by tejas9999 on Monday, 12th February 2007 @ 04:28:32 AM in AEST
Topic: fictional

A Dark Valentine

A naked crawling tree
Shivering in the coat of snow
On the day of Valentine’s
As Cupid stretched its bow

Jiggling of the snow-coat
Blushing with blooming flower’s red
Quickly hiding in the budding leaves
The tree woke up from its cold bed

Hush hush said the evil wind
This is not love that is red
But it is the blood of your dying love
Who because of your’s truly, is dead

Shivering like a child in a cradle
Wishing for his mother’s breast
I froze her to the living death
And you know the story’s rest

Swaying its branches in search
For that evil guffawing wind
It roared in anger and pain
But there was nothing left to find

The evil wind was gone
Leaving its tagging silence behind
The Cupid floated above obtusely
Failure rushing in its mind

Taking out another arrow
Wanting to solve this mess
With a black arrow in his hands
He went on his special business

I love to write about the trees. It is as if they are people with feelings, personality, life and death experiences.Well done bringing this piece forward. I enjoyed it very much.
