A Lifetime of Regret

Contributed by boredoms_burden on Sunday, 11th February 2007 @ 10:17:16 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

It is unbelievable how someone can be given so much and return so little
How someone can be handed everything on a silver platter and then just drop it all
For someone to be so self righteous that they constantly justify their evils
To spit in the face of the one who gave it all to you
How does someone go about becoming like this?
They have so much time to think to themselves that they actually start to believe that they are right and everyone else is wrong
The sad thing is that it actually took time and effort for that someone to become the way that they are
The only thing I can say is I am completely ashamed of every dying second of my life to this point
And regret not listening to the experienced and 100% wish i could start all over
My advice to you is to listen to the people who have been through what your going through it may not make sense but from my experience listening could save you life

boredoms_burden, Now this is extremely good advice in poetic form and I really enjoy the message you are sending out to your readers. Reflecting back I can recall thinking I knew it all and an adult or older person could not tell me a thing because I knew it all or thought I did. Some of us learn early and some learn later. Thank you for sharing such an insightful poem and especially for sharing a little of yourself with all of us. Wonderful poem.

I wasn't aware you knew my EX? ..... I jest

However, my ex was very much like this to women in his past.... I can only hope I taught him how to care and not to always expect to be put first ....

Nicely written ... I liked this
