My life and friends

Contributed by nirvana12 on Saturday, 10th February 2007 @ 10:53:51 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

The well has run dry and my time is wearing thin. Ive noticed the more I talk is the less that they listen. My friends all

hate being alone with me, whenever I ask they say "Well let me see...." "I can't do it tonight because Ive got somewhere

to be."

"What about tommorow?" I say to them, they might as well say

"No, because I'm not really your friend."

This always throws me into great depression, I just sit alone and drink away my sins. All alone at night I get so lonely,

my head starts to scream out, "You're not meant to be." I overcome these thoughts but for how long? Until they defeat

me I'll sing this sad old song.

sounds to me like you suffer from intrusive thoughts (which could be a symptom of depression or delusion)
you should work on maintaining cognitive thought.
Don't let your emotions rule you.

Time to make new friends and don't ever stop doing that the small little core group you're with may be the source of your sadness. A pox upon the TV show "Friends" thats just not how it works. Stay fluid its more important what you think of what you do. Drinking and singing the 'sad old song' will not help or last long to process the loneliness. So go out mingle in places where you find your passion. From supermarkets to Museums there is always another who feels the same and you may brighten more than just your own life. Something to try in my opinion. Keep writing and posting and work it out here at the 'Y'

Peace
Yang

nirvana12, This poem is a true reflection of reality for many as our friends will come and go but a true friend you will know. A true friend is always by your side, exploding your warmness inside, picking you up when you are down, making you smile erasing your frown, supporting everything you do, because they believe in you. Thank you for sharing both your gift of poetry and for sharing your creative personality with all of us. Wonderful poem.

You are young and you have your whole future to look forward to. You don't need people like this. Go out and make new friends. Believe me you will certainly know who your real friends are. Start singing yourself a new hopeful tune my friend.
Here's to new friends and much brighter days ahead~
*hugs n smiles*
