My fairytale kiss

He is here next to me
The Guy I’ve watched for
What feels like centuries
He combs his fingers through
My hair with a gentle touch
He takes my hand into his
Our fingers interlace
We turn to one another
Stare deeply into each other’s
Eyes
Suddenly I am taken by
Something and pushed forward
My lips land on his
His soft lips upon mine
A moment I wish would
Last forever
Then I snap to reality
My best friend shaking her
Head and smiling with amusement
She chuckles says I’m never in my right mind I laugh at this joke for it is probable true
I had been watching him from afar
Again…
We move forward in the line
While I look over my shoulder
To see his gaze upon me from afar
His friend scolding him for staring at me because he has a girlfriend
His words aren’t to hurtful
“ You have a girlfriend but your eyes are always on that chic”
Wes shrugs and walks on
We hold eye contact for a split second’s time we smile and blush at one another
I can’t help but wonder at the time what was going through his mind
I wonder if he wonders the same thing for me
