stuck

Contributed by LadyDama on Saturday, 22nd February 2003 @ 03:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

my mind lacerates into a foggy mess
these thoughts of sadness invading my soul
a light is there, but out of reach
i try to grasp a foothold of the bloody hill
but am pushed to my knees again
i peer up at your face
a visage of wonderment and light
you smile at me as if to say
"what could possibly be wrong, little one"

a band of gold sits on my finger
promises of yesterday bind my mind
i am stuck in a troubled abyss
of my own head
a beautiful child with ringlets of gold
loves without question
as we should too

i am so tired.............................

unconditional love is one of the greatest things. in the darkest moments, try to find a way to locate peace within yourself. hopefully you reach that light. often feels like chasing the white rabbit, huh?

A brief and undisclosed glimpse into a mind filled with uncertainty, yet with the knowledge that you are surrounded by those things in life that should truly matter.

Entrancing and well written.

The real self remains as a witness to the experiences of your mind which is tired of worldly joys and sorrows. The real self lies behind the curtain of the sub concious of your ego, has assumed the shape of a beautiful child with golden ringlets and you caught its glimpse. Thatsall what I found in this poem. venkat

Lady: Yes, we are all in a similar struggle, trying to sort out our lives and make sense out of everything. It is a constant struggle like you say, never give up..gain the 'foothold.' Very nice write!
