Lost Soul

Contributed by soulsearching43 on Friday, 9th February 2007 @ 06:50:28 AM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

We thought she was young and so naive, but we were the ones that she deceived
We loved her much and miss her more, we lost her to drugs evil lure
She lied, she cheated, she conned, she stole, all to reach her ultimate goal
She smoked, and snorted, and shot up her life, just to escape her world full of strife
And all the pain she felt deep inside, now the drugs allowed her to hide
This beautiful girl with a loving heart, her life now withering and falling apart
Powerless against it and unable to stop, her very soul she' s willing to swap
She longs for an end to her torment and pain, as she searches her arm for one last vein
Slowly she drifts to her comfortable numb, unable to face what her life has become
Not able to stop and unwilling to stay, she slowly she begins to fade away
Shattered and broken and stripped of her soul, the drugs have reached their evil goal
Now that beautiful girl with the loving heart, has lost her life before it could start...

It is truly a heart breaking poem I very well understand and share your feeling of sadness and pain. Good write though.
FRANCO.
