my Love speaks in riddles

Contributed by LadyDama on Saturday, 22nd February 2003 @ 01:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

my Love speaks in riddles
deciphering his mind
makes my own throb
with love and confusion and pain
all in the same breath

the days seem too long
yet i want more of them
the nights seem too short
yet i pray for them to pass quickly
to get to my fortnight

telephone discussions cloud our hearts
disrupt our overbearing sadness
distort perceptions already tainted by time

so when we two meet
eyes averted
fingers fiddling
attempting conversation
to unknowing avail

we feel lost
as if in a dream
as if strangers, married in this abyss called love

i miss you...

i know only too well the confusion that goes through ones mind when you are many many miles away from the one you love, for me now it has been 6 months since i seen my adoring man. We are hoping to be together this month before he flies off once again over seas to have an operation.... your poem expresses very well just how much you are missing the one you love

your write brought back memories of the love I shared with one very amazing fella...fortunately, I never knew when he would appear on our doorstep or when I would get word from him...so all in all, it seemed I had honeymoon after honeymoon all my married life...very lucky, I was...
thank you for sharing your poem
rosie

How well you express just how I feel too, and yet I am in different circumstances :))) The last part especially hit home with me - the strange confusion. I think "missing" is one of the hardest parts of love. .... Great write .... Jan

I also miss you my Princess, I miss you also, for I am still here, with fumbling fingers, and pain in my heart, a mirror speaks to my tired eyes, I love you
