Choke it down,
Swallow the words.
Walk around town,
Don’t talk about hurt.
No such thing,
Ignore it well.
Forget the meaning,
How dare you dwell.
Round two begun
Four months ago.
He’s already won,
Put on a show.
Display your pain,
Let him see.
Tears as rain
Fall freely.
Ten shades grimmer
Inside my head.
Blood gets thinner,
As good as dead.

This could turn into something sprawling and really tell a story,
don't be afraid to run with it.
I still enjoyed it.
Words and hurt don't really work.
At least if you're going by a pattern of
well, dwell
ago, show
head, dead
