I know you’ve seen me crying,
Seems like each time we meet.
I feel so lost and helpless,
And unsteady on my feet.

Its not for lack of wanting you.
Of this you know it’s sure.
It’s because I want you so much more,
Than you’re willing to endure.

My heart and lungs are crushing,
With a suffocating squeeze.
The pain will never subside,
And it brings me to my knees.

It’s the pain of my desire,
To be to you, your man.
To light the fire in you,
To love you all I can.

So tears now fall more freely,
Than they ever have before.
And I shall feel like half a man,
Till I’m asked inside your door!
