I, Rage
You could never hope to hide from me
In as much as I could not disguise
Or attempt to conceal myself from you
And why pray tell, would I want to
For you possess the power
It is you who holds the key
You bury me here inside yourself
I am every bit as much a prisoner
As the Minotaur, with lesser freedoms
He at least has his maze to wander
You visit me in your times of need
When darkest hours descend upon darker days
Now, I can sense your presence
On the far side of this door
Your hand poised just above the latch
Debating then that fateful act
That will loose me from this prison
And free you from all tact
Do It !!! Do It Now !!!!
I can tell how much you want to
I know well all you’ve been through
Turn the lock and step inside
Let me slide behind your eyes
And colorize your world in honey-nectared fury
Don the rose’d glasses, pretend that you don’t see
This thing that I’ve become
This thing in you that’s me
Please No !!! Don’t Go !!!!
Won’t you tarry here a while longer
My behavior, I shall curb
I will learn to temper words
And seek to speak in such soft circles
As you so often search to employ
I wish not to be alone
( sigh )
I suppose that it could be
You've only come to check on me
Verifying my existence
And prolonged captivity
Visiting with just such frequency
To ensure I’ve not been released
All the while
I wait …
... and
I pace …
... and
I ache …
...
I, Rage

It is always my pleasure to read your poetry treasures and that is what they are poetic treasures. I felt many things while reading this. Honey- nectared fury... that is so solid.
Hope all is well with you my friend.

When reading your work, Naz, I can always depend on the magnificent! Ya didn't let me down with this one. It reminds me of a sayin' I once come up with, not that this wonderful self-evaluation work is this, but "One must go within to see what one is without." Ya got it all, pard!

Excellent your pen emulates the rawness and power giving voice to the latent and present.
