The wind grew angry, the treetops swayed,
the moonlight glistened upon the shade.
The leaves all blew, far far away,
with silent farewell, for the weather was gray.
For fall had gone, like the falling sun,
leaving with winter of bleak and ashen.
A single snowflake drops down from the sky,
a wonder it is, see it fall down near by.
Then many follow, filled with shining white charm,
the sky dots with snowflakes, all up in a swarm.
Soon covering all, that is dark and somber,
and hearts fill with joy, happiness and laughter.
For fall has gone, but also left behind,
the wonderful spirit that is winter time.

wildcherry3393, What a beautiful poem about mother nature. I might add that its one of my favorite time of year. I really like the descriptive word choices you made to compose this awesome work of art as the images you have caused to be viewed within my minds eyes were clear and beautifully seen. Now I must thank you for sharing a little of your creative personality and your wonderful gift of poetic literature with us all. Excellent job. It just so happens that you have created a poem for your readers pleasure and its important that you know this fan now has a beautiful treasure.
