Un-Suicidal

Contributed by tiggytom on Monday, 5th February 2007 @ 10:41:15 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

It hurts to be so far away
From all which I know
Lost in a place, not knowing where to go
Fragmented like an unfinished jigsaw puzzle
Something missing, feeling un-whole
The gap it seems to increase daily
Sitting here waiting for someone to save me

Maybe that day will never come
Under the hammer, under the gun
Just floating around, enjoying the fun
I could write my own bible
I feel so betrayed

Forever caring, always sharing
Is this the wrong thing to be doing
An incorrect path is it that I'm pursuing
I've always been taught it's better to give
To look after your fellow man
Not many others seem to adhere to this plan

Yet each soul I encounter is genuine in heart
So why are we not united
Divided by land
It goes to show the power of those with might
Can submerge, take away the will to fight
Distracting our sisters, our brothers
With material light

Still what can we do except share our ideas
Hoping together we can combat our fears
Finders crossed I pray for the day
We can all come together, relax and we play

Like children in the playground of life
A care-free place, no worries, no strife
A utopia I think is what we need
Until that day, I'll just keep daring that knife

Amazing poem. Simply great.
