Love Triangle

Contributed by europeanprincess on Saturday, 3rd February 2007 @ 07:49:10 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

A chance to break the wall
But not everyone cares to see it at all
Chances are few yet will come in threes
Here’s how two got free

There was hope to their desire
Filled with much lust they felt fire
Commitment was the evil to this tale
Oh how their words failed

Chance bloomed in the fall
With charms and a ring
But agony struck in early spring

The wall is of brick strong and hard
But rumors can travel far
From mouth to mouth how whispers grew
There was mention of another-
who knew

Shallow to the ground and dirt to their name
The wall began to crumple with shame
Here is how their story will end
With one last verse that sealed their fate

The wall was down for all to see
Their rival affairs caught by many
A clever disguise filled their lives
But to despair two of them dies

europeanprincess, What a powerful message this contains as I wonder how many can actually see the vision of the message. You are an awesome poet and one I have come to admire. As I close this comment I would ask that you please keep your ink flowing through your creative pen so your readers can continue to display their warm grin. Excellent poem.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
