Its funny when I stare at my reflection
And see in there all that i could be
A boy and stand and see some other kid
Who never has to make do with hand me downs
And never has to make a scooter go three ways
A teen I see the guy who always knows just what to say
Who wears the right clothes and whoes ears don't stick out
And can always be himself arounf the girls
A man who doesn't walk around all day
Looking for work and drawing his dole
A man who doesn't have to grow up
Who can party all night
And have an education
And always gets it right
I hate my reflection
He doesn't know
He may look just like me
But he's never been where I have been
It hurts when I stare at my reflection
And see in there all that i could be

great poem, but a little secret, the guy who you think always gets it right, thinks the same thing you do everytime he looks in the mirror |
