Things race today at a dangerous pace
We have lost our grasp
Of simple truths
Intelligence must never become ingnorance
We have lost contact with our fibers
Infinant amounts of tragic hopelessness
Dealt to countless numbers on a daily
We all have an adaptive nature
"Life says we must to survive"
Almost all of us use our gifts negatively now
Reality is more than an illusion
There are decisions that we face on a daily bases
"Togetherness love and understanding"
We all have those capabilities
We just dont have the want or courage to change
We lose everything if we lose who we are
If I wanted I could lie and fool everyone in the world
Just never myself
Because thats the truth
I'm trying my hardest not to lose myself
How about the rest of you
Wish all well everyones brotha

a very powerful and truthful write.. one should never be anyone but themselves.. I like the wording.. this would be a good song.

trulovaAKAthetruth, yes in deed I enjoyed the bottom line message within this piece as so many try to form themselves into what they think others want thus becoming a phony. I say just be yourself and if others can't accept you for who you are then its their problem and especially their loss. Thanks for sharing both your talent and yourself with all of us. Good job.

| I love this poem. I am a fan of everything you write because it is so truthful and sometimes it hits you where it hurts. You send a great message through your writing. I'm sure you have touched people on this site alone with your words, i know you have touched me with them, and countless others. Those who want to understand need to listen to you, for you have alot to offer the world. I think you will go far with your writing. I will always believe in you. Hey buddy,
Through this i want to say that your are a great person and complicated. Even though I have known you for almost 5 years now i really havent taken the time to understand you but through what you write i see what you are really all about. You speak the truth and yet sometimes it hits nerves its true and thats all that you are THE TRUTH. We all do have the qualities to be better people yet we get so stuck in being who we think that world wants us to be that we get lost in it. Your a great writer soupy and i love you and your work you really dont know how much you mean to me and i am glad that i am able to read your work and now finally appreciate it for what it is...THE TRUTH...
